Free App Makes Caregiving a Little Easier

A free app, CareZone, aims to make life a little easier for caregivers. This handy tool can help caregivers to:

Coordinate Care

From arranging medical appointments, to keeping care partners informed, care coordination can be stressful and chaotic. This app provides a shared calendar that can be used to keep track of appointments, assign tasks to people in the care circle, and ask for helpers. A journal is also available to help caregivers stay up-to-date on appointments, test results, and other notes.

Manage Important Health Information

Between medication lists, health contacts, and personal documents, important health information is difficult to keep organized and secure. CareZone helps keep all health information organized and stored in a centralized place where family members can access an up-to-date medication list, advanced care plans, and insurance information.

Track Medications

Whether you’re at the clinic or in an emergency, it can be difficult to remember what medications and doses your loved one is taking. That’s why the app developers have added a medication scanning tool, which makes it easier to create an instant and accurate med list.

Automatic reminders help remind caregivers when it’s time to take the medications and allows them to track whether their loved one has taken their doses. The medication list is stored in the app and can be printed or shared at any time.

Access Alzheimer’s Association Resources

CareZone helps caregivers find helpful Alzheimer’s Association resources designed to support them. At the click of a button, you can instantly access the Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 Helpline, as well as read educational materials on Alzheimer’s and care strategies.

Click here to get the free CareZone app or text “ALZ” to 301-900-5050.

*Note: To receive the Alzheimer’s Association content in the app, you must download the app using one of the above ways.

My mom is in a Memory Care facility suffering with dementia. Luckily she was thrifty all her life & so has funds to pay for her costly care. However, at 97 she is still physically well & may soon deplete her funds. I need to know what happens when her savings is gone & how to plan for it. Will this App help answer this? Thx.
